Spring Fling eases ATC stress for students and staff
At Aiken Technical College hundreds join the annual Spring Fling indoors as a jazz group from Augusta entertains and students compete in gladiator joust bungee run and inflatable slide. The event ends the semester with stress relief and a final exams countdown. Welch's Dawgs led by coach Charles Welch won the top team prize.

Gunfire at Northaven Post Office Ends With Escape
A postal worker opened fire at the Northaven post office after a clash with a clerk. A man fled in the passenger seat of a car as an ambulance and police arrived. An onlooker, Marc Martinez, said he heard two shots and saw the suspect leave. Police and postal inspectors questioned employees as relatives gathered nearby.

Clarification issued on Skyland stabbing case
Aiken County Sheriff's Office corrected initial reports on an April 13 stabbing. Kinard Stephens forced entry into Maurice Stephens’s home and was stabbed during the confrontation, not the other way around. Maurice Stephens is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill.
