Owens Corning sales loom over Aiken yarn plant sale
Owens Corning announced it is selling its yarn facilities in Aiken and Huntingdon Pa. The Ferguson Industries plan to locate in Aiken’s Verenes Industrial Park remains on track with production slated to begin in June despite the sale. Ferguson said operations will continue as normal with the same service to other industries under new ownership.

Postal shooting probes after Dallas post office clash
A letter carrier fatally shot 34 year old Lavina Selley Shaw in a Dallas post office break room during a lunchtime argument at about 11 30 am. A second worker was injured fleeing. The 27 year old suspect fled in a car and was later arrested. The clerk had 15 years with the Postal Service.
