Toyota recalls 600K Sienna minivans over rusted spare tire cables
Toyota Motor Corp recalls 1998 to 2010 Sienna minivans with two wheel drive sold or registered in 20 cold climate states and the District of Columbia. Rust from road salt could cause the spare tire carrier cable to rust and break, potentially letting the tire tumble into the road. No injuries or accidents are reported. NHTSA has six complaints. Customers will be asked to bring vehicles to dealers for inspection.
