Citadel plan ties leadership program to private colleges
The Citadel plans a state funded single sex leadership program for women via Columbia College and Converse College without formal input from the private schools. Woman Wins Lawsuit Against Son in Fraud Case
Janet Shingler won a federal jury verdict finding her son Raymond Shingler Jr. liable for fraud breach of fiduciary duty and conversion of funds. The Charleston jury ordered restitution of 47314 plus 5000 punitive and 1000 for mental anguish after he used proceeds from selling her home to pay his debts and living expenses. Shingler, 27 Summerville, said he is broke and quit his hospital technician job to pursue a master’s in hospital administration. Judge John Copenhaver will set a repayment schedule.
