Contract Signed for New Ice Plant in York Pa

Contracts between Frick Manufacturing of York Pennsylvania and Verenes Brothers wholesale grocers establish a Verenes Ice Plant and Coal Company. Albert de Kossack and Kaiser Wilhelm

The Polish painter Albert de Kossack spent time in Aiken with an exhibition at the Highland Park Hotel sun parlor. Before World War I he painted Kaiser Wilhelm in Berlin but quit after the Kaiser cursed Poland at a party. Returns to Poland, learns his name is a household word.

Mrs. J. Ray Woodward Buried Here Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. J Ray Woodward formerly of Aiken who died in Orlando Florida were held at First Baptist church on Monday afternoon. Interment followed in Bethany Cemetery. She was 29 and survived by her husband two children her parents one sister and one brother. The pallbearers included Walter Plunkett Clarence Courtney Tillman Dyehees Henry Busbee Bruce Johnson and Harry George.

Easter Services at Graniteville Church

Sunday at St Johns Methodist Graniteville features a youth fellowship class after Sunday School.
