In the fishing village of Svolvaer, population 5000, a masked gunman robbed the post office on Wednesday escaping with 3500 dollars. Police quotes note the isolation of the island makes such a crime unusual and hard to flee.
WALLKILL authorities charged 40 year old Josh Wallace with reckless endangerment after he parachuted from a stalled Cessna 150. The plane crashed 35 feet from a house near Kobert Airport while Wallace, an experienced skydiver and licensed pilot, was en route from Florida to Montreal. The aircraft landed in the back yard of Ted and Garrison, missing their home by about five feet.
