Man Shot at Augusta Regional Airport Alters Cab Dispute
A verbal argument between two Yellow Cab drivers at Augusta Regional Airport ended with a shot in the left shoulder. Alvin Warren, 60, of Sylva nia, Ga., was arrested. The victim, Herman Ray David, 57, was taken to Georgia Regents with non life threatening injuries.

Aiken Public Safety reports a range of incidents including a woman’s ex-boyfriend stealing her gas cap, an unpaid vet bill of 263.77 after a dog bite, a brick thrown at a home, car and property thefts, iPad theft from a store, missing money orders, stolen packages, unauthorized Visa charge near 2000, a pistol taken from a nightstand, damaged business AC units, Social Security number misuse in tax filing, and a pellet gun shooting at vehicles on Cloudman Street.

Jail deputy earns top state honor in Aiken County
Cpl Tonetta Buggs of the Aiken County detention center won the Detention Officer of the Year award from the South Carolina Jail Administrators Association at a Myrtle Beach conference. It marks the third time in four years an Aiken County deputy has won. Buggs, praised by jail administrator Capt. Nick Gallam for diligence and data work, has risen from pod deputy to corporal in the classification division.
