Illinois House Fire Kills Nine and Injures Three
A 2:30 am house blaze in Peoria Illinois killed nine people and injured three. Two victims died at St. Francis Medical Center and six at two hospitals. One injured person was released from hospital. Auction Planned For Kalmia Landing Lots In Greenville
A public auction on May 6 will offer at least 30 lots and nine residences at Kalmia Landing. US Retirement vice president Jerry Spearman says about half the lots will remain for private sale while 11 am absolute sale covers the rest. The development off Gregg Avenue holds nearly 140 home sites with 75 occupied, includes patio homes, condos, villas, a clubhouse, tennis, pool and security gate. Spearman notes the auction is for business reasons not bankruptcy and plans to mail 50 000 to 60 000 potential buyers across the Southeast and Midwest.

Schools Seek DOE Approval for Savannah River Site Consortium
