A 55 year old Aiken man was charged with disorderly conduct Tuesday after witnesses reported an intoxicated subject on a moped. He had road rash, smelled of alcohol and showed intoxication signs.
A North Augusta woman flagged card fraud with nearly 90 unauthorized uses since 2014. An Aiken man faced disorderly conduct charges after being found asleep drunk on Columbia Highway. Another Aiken man reported check cashing fraud and identity theft after IRS notice. Two burglaries occurred on Gray Mare Hollow Road and Pinecrest Avenue.
Steve Ashley Dubose of 211 Old Pond Road was sentenced to 20 years for first degree burglary plus five years each for burglary tools grand larceny and possession of a stolen pickup and three years for failing to stop for a law enforcement officer. Total 85 percent must be served. He was arrested in Edgefield in 2014 and later in Lexington County in 2015 for firing multiple gunshots at a deputy and faces additional charges.
An Aiken woman reported being shot in the right ear with an air-soft pistol by a juvenile who knocked on her door asking for milk on Brandt Court. Officers found air-soft pellets near the doorway. the victim did not recognize or describe the suspect and declined EMS.
