Neighborhood council gives a voice to local communities
The Aiken Council of Neighborhoods ACON provides residents a platform to raise block level issues to City of Aiken officials. Formed after a two year effort with bylaws approved in 2010, it aims to unite neighborhoods for roundtable discussions and civic problem solving. The 10 member nonpartisan group invites all residents to attend meetings at Smith Hazel Recreation Center with contact avenues for registration and information.
