Plea Denied for Former SRS Subcontractor

A federal judge denied Project Control a new trial against Westinghouse Savannah River Co. Judge Cameron Currie ruled the jury verdicts were fully supported by the record and that the Augusta based firm failed to prove Westinghouse violated the contract or acted in bad faith. The suit sought up to about 75 million in damages and alleged hiring and blacklisting of workers after a decade at SRS. Westinghouse witnesses cited Project Control’s refusal to audit and suspicions of overbilling.
