The Aiken County Council distributed 3,163,867.95 to the county schools in a Tuesday night action after seven years of PILOT-funded debt retirement for Sage Mill Industrial Park. Dr. Linda Eldridge noted the 60 percent share and thanked the council chair Ronnie Young and supporters from Bridgestone Firestone SKF Advanced Fiber Beaulieu Kimberly-Clark for the payments. The funds conclude a long standing agreement tied to Sage Mill ownership and county development debts.
