Inmate Facelifts at Taxpayer Expense in Texas
Hundreds of state prison inmates have received facelifts liposuction and cosmetic fixes at taxpayer expense over more than 20 years at John Sealy Hospital Galveston. The hospital says the corrections department is not charged and the procedures are funded through a state college. Tommy Thompson 59 hopes for parole after a February face brow lift and liposuction costing about 12117 in 21 days. He says it could improve attitude and self image after release. The district attorney was unaware prisoners could undergo such operations.

Officers Capture Suspect In Wagener Shooting
A 47 year old machine operator identified as David Jay Oliver was captured after a seven hour manhunt near Wagener. Officers from multiple agencies including SLED and the Aiken Department of Public Safety pursued Oliver to a chicken farm two miles south of Wagener where he surrendered after a struggle. Oliver faces murder charges in the death of Gil bert Nickie Bostic Jr and is held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
