Houston man fined 3000 dollars for delinquency charge

Jeff Chandler a 23 year old Houston man pleaded guilty in Aiken County General Sessions Court to contributing to the delinquency of a minor involving a 15 year old North Augusta girl. He received a suspended sentence a 3000 dollar fine and three years probation with no contact until she is of age.

County Roads To Be Resurfaced In Aiken County

The South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation invites bids totaling 14.7 million dollars for grading drainage and resurfacing projects in Aiken County. Work includes several short pave sections along Mississippi Avenue Trolley Line Road Shady Lane and multiple county roads near Wagener Baumanville Camp Rawls and Whiskey Road. Bids are due April 9 at 10 a.m. at The Town House in Columbia.
