The Kiwanis Club plans an amateur minstrel at the Aiken Theatre on Thursday night April 7 with Augusta tenor Charles Ballentine as a featured act. A blackfaced court scene is marked as a highlight. Reserved seats go on sale at Hall's Pharmacy next Wednesday with prices 75 cents and one dollar.

Aiken Kiwanis Club members and guests toured Graniteville Manufacturing Co. in Horsecreek Valley after a luncheon at Hickman Hall. Rev Leslie of Graniteville and Aiken Lutheran churches gave a short talk. The group toured the Hickman mill process from raw cotton to dyeing, receiving khaki cloth souvenirs.

1927 Horse Show Best in History at Hitchcock Woods
More than a thousand attended the Hitchcock woods Horse Show last Saturday with spectators including hotel guests from Augusta and other points. Judges from Canada and New York officiated as prizes were awarded across classes for lightweight polo ponies, middle and heavy weight polo ponies, lead rein ponies, light chidden ponies, and children's ponies, with numerous cups presented by local ladies.
