Stewattle Sue Brings Fame and Fancy at Buckland Farm
Aiken hopeful Stewattle Sue, foaled April 17, is countryside buzz as Seattle Slew offspring. Trainer Allen Darlington catalogs Buckland’s 29 yearlings and 3 two year olds with top sires like Stop the Music and Halo while Isobel Ziluca and Peggy Carey form a strong bond with the filly. Cherished by staff, Stewattle Sue trains for future races as Buckland awaits more promising foals and notes the tragic loss of Cherokee Messenger, Secretariat’s progeny, in New York.
