While digging in the garden at his parents home last week Guy Owen found a silver Six Reales coin dated 1791. The piece is oxidized but lettering remains well preserved and is a relic from early Spanish mintage widely circulated in the middle west.

The jury was seated after thirteen hours of selection.
A house on the Carter farm near Ward was destroyed by fire last Sunday. Tenant Mr. Jones was away visiting near Whitestown and unaware of the blaze until returning home. Neighbors saved part of the household goods. the dwelling was insured for 800 and goods for 200.
