Co operation urged at farm lecture on hog cooperation
Farmers at Tuesday night’s lecture praised the talk by a Liberty area practical farmer and hog breeder on joining with Uncle Sam to fight the hog question. Dr Mead of the Indiana hog cholera division stressed cholera prevention and blamed ignorance and carelessness for spread, urging farmers to cooperate before government action forces unity.

Donations Support Y. M. C. A. War Fund Drive
The Y M C A drive in Jackson township drew strong support with $636.50 raised by Thursday and about $450 allocated to the northern half. Rev. Mrs. B L Smiley reports strong Sunday attendance and interest at the Methodist Episcopal Church Sunday School. Two teachers were absent due to sickness but substitutes were present. a new Cradle Roll member and several new class enrollees were added recently. Rev Dunlavy preached morning and evening and assists with the church during the pastor absence. The Workers' Council will meet Friday at 7 pm at Mrs Ross's home to discuss standards for MM schools and plans.
