Advance Boys Reach Sectional Final in Tough Title Bout
For the second time in its history the local school basketball team reached the sectional final amid heavy opposition. Lebanon led by DeVol defeated Advance 64 to 37, with DeVol scoring 31 of Lebanon’s points and Burrin and Emmert contributing key plays. Coach Bowman praised the team’s spirit as fans applauded a strong performance under strenuous OT pressure.

Mary E Cox aged 66 wife of William Henry Cox died at her home northeast of Crawfordsville from dropsy after a year of illness. Born January 8 1857 near Shannondale she married October 10 1874 and was a member of the Christian New Light Church. Survived by her husband four children and seven grandchildren. Funeral held at Shannondale with burial there.
