Seventy-Sixth Session Of Indiana Christian Conference Set
The Indiana Christian conference plans its seventy sixth annual session at the Od Cuion Christian church near Advance from Tuesday evening August 28 to Friday evening. Rev F P Trotter of Montpelier Ind will open with the keynote address. The gathering promotes missionary work both home and foreign, supports Union Christian College Merom Ind, and funds a superannuate program for needy ministers. The conference upholds five principles Bible as rule, Christ as head, Christian character as test, individual interpretation, and unity of believers. Baptism mode left to candidates. The Holy Spirit and the new birth are central tenets. The quadrennial American Christian convention meets Huntington Ind October 9-15. Indiana Christian church constituency numbers about six thousand. Local officers include Rev H L Bailey Lebanon Ind president and Rev R H Gott Kokomo Ind secretary.

Death of Mrs Sparks in Kentucky and Iowa move
Mrs Abbie Sparks died from paralytic mutiny at the home of her son in law Lawreyce Moore on July 18 1882 in Nicholan county Kentucky aged seventy four years one month and twenty seven days. She lived in Kentucky Iowa and Boone county before moving to Pleasant View where her funeral was held with Rev Vandervort officiating.
