Mr and Mrs H P Stevens quietly celebrated their fifty fifth wedding anniversary at their country home west of Lebanon. They were married near Shannondale, Boone County by Rev Harrison Darnell. Mrs Stevens received linen pants from Mrs Adam Golliday, who spun the material. The couple, now retired farmers, have lived at the present home forty years and have been in poor health since the death of their daughter Nettie Clay in May. Mrs A Abbott traveled to Fort Wayne to be at her daughter Jay's bedside who is ill.
