Miss Myrtie Logan resigns after months at Adlers store in Lebanon and accepts a new position with the Art Wallpaper and Paint Store on West South Street. She will start next week.
The Senior class will present their class play again at the community building next Saturday night after a capacity crowd last week. Weather caused a rescheduling but the show was well liked and is expected to draw a good audience again.

Approximately 4 000 Indiana farmers have signed contracts for cooperative wheat marketing announced at the Indiana Farm Bureau Federation headquarters. The pool covers about 4 000 000 bushels with 500 contracts daily at the federation offices. Southwestern Indiana counties Gibson Dubois Posey Knox Warrick Vanderburgh lead in signed acres from 30 to 80 percent with Jackson 247 contracts Gibson 240 and Dubois 200.
Winnebago Tribe No 36 plans to bring Gwynnesville Indiana Red Men degree team to Lebanon High School gym on Wednesday May 7. About 1500 warriors from Boone and neighboring counties expected. Noted for perfection in ritual work the team will perform with elaborate original work by Ed Mabee and Rev A R Pore.

The many friends of John W Chambers report he is recovering from a serious illness with chronic lockjaw at his home east of town. He fell ill about three weeks ago after his right hand finger was torn off by a mule kick, with complications from the injury. Recovery now is assured.
A warning from the auditor urges veterans of the Mexican and Civil wars and widows over 60 to file tax exemption applications by April 30. Exemption applies to those over 70 with tax value under 5000 and may cover personal and property tax. Some veterans failed to file unintentionally, prompting the current notice and call for timely submissions.
