Pioneer Citizen Mariam Wright dies after long life near Advance
Mrs. Mariam McCannon Wright died April 9 1924 at her daughter Irena Higgs home near Advance after pneumonia illness. Born June 18 1837 in Hendrix county near Danville she was 86 years 9 months and 23 days old. She married Ira A Wright January 12 1857 in Putnam county and had nine children. She joined Ebenezer M E Church in 1867 and lived in Boone county most of her life. Funeral April 11 at Advance M E Church with Rev F G Howard and local pastors burial Mount Zion cemetery.
