Charley Ross Born in Boone County Dies at 24
Charley Ross son of J W and Catherine Ross was born September 28 1888 in Boone County Indiana and died April 2 1918 aged 24 years 6 months 4 days. He married Jennie Emmett January 15 1906 and had two children Hugh and Leone. He leaves a father mother one brother Earl and one sister Mrs Ora Beaver. He joined the Christian church early and remained fond of it. He was active in the Advance Band and AH 8 Alumni. He sought a milder climate in 1908 and spent winters in North Carolina. He worked diligently until two months before death and was held in high esteem by business friends. He leaves grandmothers Ross and Sefton and many other relatives. a large funeral crowd attended.

Traction Car Kills Brownsburg Man At Crossing
William Richmond a Brownsburg produce merchant was struck and killed by an eastbound traction car near Clermont while crossing the tracks. The car braked and whistle sounded but Richmond failed to heed, his team dragged onto the car’s path and one horse died. Richmond died en route to Indianapolis. Motorman T E McIntyre and conductor C M Hille reported a strenuous stop attempt. Richmond is survived by a wife and child. The accident prompted an Indiana police interview and morgue removal.
