Masked train robbery near Texarkana shocks Cotton Belt riders
Six masked robbers boarded a southbound Cotton Belt passenger train near Texarkana and forced the engineer to detach the mail and express cars. They robbed the express car, opened the safe, and fled with a heavy sum, leaving the engine to the remaining crew. Sheriff’s posse pursued while the train reached Mount Pleasant. No passengers were harmed and the train later resumed service.
