Friends of AIRK. King and Miss Frieda Rosenberg learn of their marriage on September 1 in Detroit. King works at Kimball Cigar Box factory as a sawyer and is a noted singer. Mrs. Charlie Wila pleaded guilty to drunkenness Thursday night before Justice A B Treat and was sentenced to five days in county jail. Mrs. Emma Balway, of the party out on lightning Thursday night, received five days in jail. Charles Wild was arraigned Friday before Justice Levi Auchampaugh on a charge of being a dis orderly person, plea entered as not guilty, trial set for Tuesday at 9 am. George Everins paid a $1 fine and $4.90 costs to Justice Levi Auchampaugh for a dis orderly act Thursday night.

The Presbyterian ladies began a rummage sale this morning at the Stebbins store on East Maumee Street. Donors and many shoppers reported brisk activity with about $300 raised at the last sale. A donor found seven dollars in a trouser pocket while inspecting items for donation. The fund drive promises strong returns as donations continue to come in and the stock attracts buyers.
Charles Willard Rice aged 92 died October 7 at the Hospital of the Good Shepherd in Syracuse after a three month illness. A Lima hardware merchant, he served from the Civil War’s start in Company G New York cavalry, rose to sergeant, later settled in Geneva in hardware and store work, retired due to health, and spent years with friends in Adrian and with Alfred Higgins in Syracuse before his death.
Detroit Tribune recounts Michael Fraley’s courage when a toppled wire pile at the Page Fence factory in Adrian crushed two workers. Fraley, badly bruised, pulled Luther Mattix from danger, then fainted only after ensuring others were safe. The account praises his selfless action.

Kendall kicked two goals after touchdowns by Masters and Kendall, with Parker adding a long run and Bichener notable at quarterback. Adrian threatened at times but could not score. Next Saturday Adrian travels to Hudson.
George Henry Gussenbauer died at 2 27 PM at his home 30 East Butler Street after a two week battle with typhoid fever. Born January 14 1875 in Adrian he worked as a decorator and paper hanger with multiple employers and was married March 15 1900 to Grace Oram. He leaves a wife a mother two brothers and a sister and was a member of IOOF Modern Woodmen and St Stephen s German Lutheran church. Funeral will be Sunday at 30 standard time from the home with the two societies in attendance.
