Advices from Kiel report ten Buffalo crew members deserted from the United States training ship Buffalo in June. The ship’s commander offered a reward of $40 for each deserter captured.
Omaha dispatch reports Chief Donahue arranging to accept Pat Crowe's surrender terms while Judge Vonsetthaler declines to pre set bond. City council revokes the $25,000 reward for the kidnapers of Edward Cudahy Jr. and notes voluntary surrender as a factor. Dispatch adds a note from London that Bulgaria is blamed over a Turkish issue.

In Owosso Mich on Oct 16 Sheriff Gerow shot at Joseph Howard during a fugitive arrest in Easton. The escape attempt failed as a bullet pierced the sheriff's shoulder and lungs. Howard, 25, faces burglary charges for S. E. Crawford's Vernon home.
Nashville Tenn October 16 A woman is under arrest here after police found unsigned notes from the National Bank of Montana in her possession They believe the notes may be connected to the Great Northern express robbery of July 3 last and are pursuing a clue in that case.
