The Opportunity Circle tea Friday evening proved a social and financial success as the society showcased its knack for opportunities. The Weekly Presa announces a Winter Campaign meeting at Maple City lodge Knight of Pythias next Toenday evening with a first rack work followed by a pedro contest a smoker and a sweet cider tea party. All members are urged to attend as a committee will organize winter entertainment series and assign duties for lectures and obligations.
The Morenci Observer reports a highly successful K of P banquet and recital for the newly formed Rathbone Sisters lodge. Home talent provided the program with Allen's orchestra opening, welcome by B I Hart, responses by Mrs. F H Hood, readings by Mrs. Blair and Prof. Smith, and sun by Mrs. B D Rick and others. A vocal duet by Mr. and Mrs. Crabbe and a brass quartet plus baritone solo by M A Bell closed the evening.
Bondholders in Detroit have approved a plan to reorganize the Michigan Portland Cement Co to a 1 million dollar capitalization with no bonded debt and all common stock. Holmes Bros. of American Construction Co will drop about 200000 dollars claim in exchange for an equity stake in the new company. The settlement unites conflicting interests under the restructuring plan.
Rev J B Banker was pleasantly surprised Friday evening by a group of young people at the Y M C A then at Frank Knight's. A telegram from his wife said a young lady and gentleman awaited him, but he found a crowd enjoying charades a potato race the donkey game and refreshments in a pleasant surprise event.
A deal is closed to transfer George Bayre property to Paul Sartor, a 15 year attaché of Fred Bowrefind, and Philip Dreher, who will take possession for a three year term under the agreement, with George Bowerefined as the subject of the transaction.

Ea Reed and Miss Clarabel Woodard quietly wed this morning in a home ceremony performed by Justice A. B. Treat at 1 o clock. The couple, who had been boarding with W. E. Howard at No. 8 Wees Albert Street, departed on the Detroit Southern at 12 25 for a short wedding trip through Ohio. They have not decided where to reside after returning.
Mr. Murray, long at Church Manufacturing Co., tests a new automobile with several trial runs, the latest Friday evening. Early results are satisfactory, and promises grow that the machine will be a winner. Later, the firm may disclose more plans. Cards announce the marriage of Bradford Seager, youngest son of B. Seager and wife of Rowe Center, to Miss Clara Mand Smead of Onsted, to be held Wednesday evening, November 27, at the bride’s parents. Seager brothers Dr. G. B. Seager and Arch Seager, and the Rome Center correspondent of The Telegram, are noted.
The White Rose Pleasure Club held a Friday evening dance described as a win for the group. Kaiser's orchestra provided music, and members praised the success though the club remains young. A brief interlude followed with prize play where Miss Annie Keenan won a cup and Mrs T W White received a consolation prize dish.
Floyd Haynes hosted a house party Friday night for a group of his young friends. Games and refreshments filled the evening, ending with high praise for Haynes as a most royal entertainer.
Nine year old Esther Hnoteria marked a birthday with a nine to celebrate the occasion. About forty invitations were issued and Mixer Street home was filled with young guests enjoying a cheerful afternoon gathering.
The Elisafliedd Advance, long a temperance advocate, claims its zeal waned after a delinquent arrived in town, paid four years back subscription, and caused a shift in stance last week.
Mrs. H. Larwill, entertained five tables of whist Friday afternoon at her South Winter street home. The event was hosted by the Misses Bibleman, Hardy, and Larwill with refreshments served.
The assembly concluded the class work with strong attendance and an exceptionally fine time reported by the dancers.
The West Side Music club gathered Friday at Miss Faye Love’s McKenzie street home for a final enjoyable session. The next concert is planned at May Cornel’s Park street residence with a program featuring Lela Howard, Mildred Frost, Faye Cochrane, Paya Love, Sunie Clark, Eva Walker, Lila Ari, and Florence Walker performing piano solos, a piano duet, and a piano acolo.
