Power shovel aids search for remains of crashed Northwest plane
Detectives used a power shovel at the crash site in southern Indiana to sift wreckage from a Northwest Airlines four engine turbo prop that exploded in flight killing 63 aboard. Investigators considered bomb turbulence or other causes as they worked amid shattered debris and fragments. Senator Homer Capehart, who lost relatives in a 1948 crash, planned to meet officials as relatives were invited to a memorial service next week. Woman Kennel Keeper Mauled by Pet Doberman at Home
