Lansing Dec 9 The annual Michigan State Grange and Partner Clubs sessions are under closed doors with much business reserved for the order. Delegates discuss primary reform. resolutions urge changes to primary laws and other issues, including auto speed limits on country roads. The Farmers' Clubs association opened with routine business and reports, secretary Julia Ball of Hamburg urging farmer union, while Judge J W Edgar spoke on club work and President Waterbury outlined reforms.

City W C T U Keeps Christmas Dinner For Poor
Last night the W C T U met on East Maumee Street and voted to continue the annual Christmas dinner for the city poor led by Uncle Joe Bennett and O J Avery. A basket delivery of chicken bread and butter will be provided to the needy with about $100 needed in funds. Donations may be left with Avery Hartlet Norton or Wing, and additional gifts for inmates at the county infirmary are requested.

Langley airship disaster halts second Washington test
Washington December 9 under perfect weather the Langley airship or aeroplane underwent a second trial near the Potomac. The craft broke in two on leaving the tramway and plunged into icy water, trapping Professor Charles Manly who was operating it. Dee. August Moore, an 18 year old colored man, pleaded guilty to burglary and was sentenced by Judge Wiest to a maximum leary seats and a minimum five years in the state reformatory.
