Heart attack fatal for Alan M. Taylor welfare worker
Alan McLean Taylor 69 longtime welfare leader and former Episcopal rector died at home after a heart attack. He headed the Adrian Associated Charities since 1934 and held numerous social work roles, lectured on the Holy Land, and served on state boards. Survived by sister Rose and several nieces and nephews. Funeral at Episcopal church with burial in Sidney, Ohio.

Fugitive Finds He Rates As Unwanted Man
Arthur Koller 24 of Columbus surrendered to Adrian police at city hall after fleeing Columbus workhouse where he served 60 days for drunkenness and petty larceny. He had been booked 21 times and escaped four times. Adrian police planned to move him out of town and release him after transfer to county jail.

Arnold Frederick Kiv a 27 year old ex soldier faced arraignment on charges of taking highly confidential photographs from the Los Alamos atomic installations. FBI director J Edgar Hoover said 37 pictures and ten negatives were seized in Brooklyn along with burned materials. Kiv admitted removing the photos while in the army and later burning them. He had worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory before being relieved from duty.

Toledoans Jailed After Speedy Arrest
James Rickman 23 of Toledo pleaded guilty to drunk driving at arraignment before Justice John K Lowe. He was fined 60 and costs 7.65 and jailed ten days, with 60 more days if unpaid. Lee Clarkson 23 of Toledo also pled guilty to drunkenness, fined 15 and 7.65 costs, jailed five days, with 20 days in lieu of payment. Police arrested them yesterday after Blissfield post alerted Adrian officers on US 22. In seven minutes they were in custody and jailed. Also arrested were Ralph Arley 34 of Ray Indiana and Kenneth Ansley 28 of Clayton after a minor Beecher and South Main collision. Ralph ran into Kenneth who had stopped for a light. both cars damaged. Donald DeFay 37 of 205 Locust Street was arrested at Main and Maumee on drunk driving charges.
