Fifth polio case develops in Lenawee County

The fifth poliomyelitis case in Lenawee County was reported today by Dr. H. C. Huntley. Patient Maynard Ingraham, 42, of Tecumseh Route 1, was taken to Securiseh Hospital two days ago and sent to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor for observation. Diagnosis confirmed by university staff.

Plane designer dies in Tudor II crash at takeoff

In Toledo a three column ad by the AFL Toledo Central Labor Union challenges the Taft Hartley Act framed as a test of its constitutionality. Bandits Steal 40000 in Dawn Windsor Bank Heist

Bank robbers armed with a sub machine gun and pistol struck the Royal Bank of Canada in Windsor Ontario during closing hour. They ordered patrons to line up, emptied cash drawers into a bag, rejected bonds, and fled in an escape car left abandoned on the east side. Police closed in but found no trace within ten hours. Ten Men Believed Dead In British Mine Blast

German SS Sergeant sentenced by U.S. war crimes court
