School Board Adopts Budget of Two Hundred Thousand Plus

Ex-convict admits killing three Michigan farmers

Dutch say 740 Dutch Jews died in Mauthausen mines

DETROIT April 2 Frank O McKay became owner of the Mt Clemens Daily Leader by a 55000 purchase and plans to merge the Leader and Daily Monitor in the Macomb Publishing Co under Paul W McKee. The Daily Leader Corporation obtained title after McKay's attorney turned over checks totaling 50000 to Donald L Quaife, federal master in chancery, under an approved plan. An extra 10000 had been on deposit with a trustee since the paper suspended Feb 10. McKay, on trial in federal court for mail fraud, said he would not join the new board. The government accepted 12141 of the purchase price in payment of social security taxes. Labor claims total 3500 with other costs to be set. The remaining balance goes to Leader creditors.
