Advices for exceeding a square note three publications at one dollar, with twenty five cents for each continuation after, and proportional pricing for further squares.
The Federal Republicans of Adams County call township voters to elect two delegates per township on September 5 at the usual election place. Delegates meet at Gettysburg Court House on the following Monday, September 7, to prepare and recommend suitable candidates for the next election.
Public auction at the Courthouse Gettysburg on Wednesday the 26th of August at two o'clock for a tract of 2122 acres in Mountpleasant township Adams County. Property lies near York and Gettysburg Turnpike, adjoining John Miller and Thomas J. Cooper. Tenanted by S. Cassatt with possession April next. Improvments include a stone dwelling, a wood barn, and outbuildings. Terms: one third cash, remainder in three yearly payments secured by bond and mortgage. Located in Baltimore. In August 1829 the court overruled objections to indictments and granted sentencing. Watkins faced three counts with penalties totaling fines of 740, 300, and 2000 dollars and corresponding three month imprisonments. After sentencing the court adjourned after a lengthy term. An assay note compared Spanish dollar parts to current circulation values.
