Oklahoma City report says Grand Dragon C N Jewett of the Ku Klux Klan was arrested on riot charges in connection with the March 7 1922 beating of E R Merriman after testimony from Dr Maupin a local dentist. Jewett pleads not guilty and is free on $1000 bond as trial date is pending. Governor Walton claims Klan influence in the Oklahoma legislature and to dismiss an impeachment session under martial law.

Fred Dennis Returns to Oklahoma City Surrender
