Veteran Ada lawyer Lawrence Green dies at 69
Lawrence H. Green, 69, prominent Ada attorney and former city attorney, died early Tuesday at a local hospital. Funeral Friday at 2 p.m. in Criswell Chapel. Survivors include his wife Johnnie, a son Dr. Paul A. Green of Rochester, Minn., two sisters, and six grandchildren. Green had retired July 27 as Ada city attorney after nine years. He was born December 1, 1897 in Exeter, Missouri, moved to Ada in 1908, and practiced law with his father before launching an independent career. He resided at 601 W. 9th Street and was active in civic and church affairs.
