Oklahoma fugitive Brinlee arrested in Biloxi
Rex Brinlee, an Oklahoma escapee listed among the FBI’s most wanted, was captured Tuesday in Biloxi after walking from his apartment to a parked truck. He appeared in Gulfport before U.S. District Judge Dan M. Russell Jr, who set a Friday 16 a.m. preliminary hearing and ordered $100,000 bond. Brinlee denied being the man sought, claiming the name Robert Foreman. FBI fingerprints matched Brinlee, who escaped from the Oklahoma State Penitentiary during a riot on August 3. The record notes his employer called him a master mechanic and a secretary described him as agreeable, while his landlady said he voiced threats in Oklahoma. she feared him during his four-week stay.

Challenge To Foreign IBM Practices Foreseen

Oklahoma to receive $52 million in federal highway funds
OKLAHOMA CITY said the state will get about $52 million in federal highway funds for the next fiscal year unless the Nixon administration impounds part of the funds. State Highway Director R A Ward noted the act provides $62 million but the OMB has not indicated if any funds will be impounded.
