Bryan to Speak in Vinita Oklahoma September 27 1906
William Jennings Bryan will address Vinita Indian Territory at 8 a m on Thursday September 27 1906 after arriving September 26 from Little Rock Arkansas. He will tour stops along the Missouri Kansas and Texas Railway with speeches at South McAlester Muskogee Chelsea Claremore Tulsa and a Tulsa stand up speech. Governor Jeff Davis of Arkansas and David A Ball of Missouri will also speak. A barbecue is planned September 26 and 27 with a parade by 2000 young Democrats and 100 uniformed Vinita Young Men’s Democratic Club members joining.

Tornado near Ada causes damage and home ruin
A week ago last Tuesday a small tornado formed near G Duncan six miles northwest of Ada. The 150 yard wide path razed trees cotton and corn. Duncan saw the cloud approach and dived into a fruit hole as it passed almost overhead. At E Anderson’s home the roof was lifted and cribs leveled before the storm moved on from the southwest. The event lasted about one minute. A. G. Winn traveled to Stonewall today. STOP FIGHTING. Havana Cuba September 17. The government pushes to restore peace to avoid American intervention. Frisco Freight Wreck Near Carleton Oklahoma
A northbound Frisco freight plunged through a bridge over the South Canadian River near Carleton Oklahoma. Engineer Paul Palmer is dead and Brakeman Priest is missing. Fireman Quinn of Blackwell is pinned under the engine and another body was seen on a nearby island. Brakeman Priest's body reportedly found four miles downstream.
