Berryville Arkansas September 8 Sheriff Tom Morris urged 500 men to join a hunt for four year old Florence Jackson who has been missing since Monday afternoon in the Ozark mountains north of Berryville. Over 300 men had searched a three mile circle today finding only the child’s shoes and stockings as rain erased footprints. The parents Arthur and Mrs Jackson of Chelsea Oklahoma stayed nearby while outposts were set to hear her cries. The sheriff expressed belief she is alive but the search is hard in the rough country with wolves possible but not yet active.

O Neal Returns For Trial In Cattle Theft Case
District Judge Tal Crawford ordered Harmon O Neal to be brought from the state penitentiary for trial on cattle theft charges. Stonewall Couple Injured In Car Wreck On Highway 270
Mr and Mrs Tom Shannon of Stonewall were badly hurt when their car skidded out of control and crashed into a ditch on U S Highway 270 near Stonewall around 10 this morning. Mrs Shannon suffered severe head injuries and facial lacerations and was sent to Municipal hospital with the most serious injuries. The couple live two miles east of Stonewall and were still hospitalized by Wednesday night.
