Blowing Out to Start Friday at Konawa Plant
Dow Dozier of Oklahoma Gas and Electric in Oklahoma City announced that the steam pipe blowing out at the Konawa generating plant will begin Friday at about 8 30 a m and occur hourly until about 9 p m each day. It will not start on Sundays until about midday and end early evening, continuing intermittently for two to three weeks to clean the pipes.

Sherry Hatch of Roff and another girl won in the six county area 4-H Personality Improvement Contest held October 22 in Wewoka. Each received a $50 bond from Southwestern Bell. Two county winners advance to State Personality Improvement Awards for a $200 bond. Linda Williams, Stonewall High School graduate now at Oklahoma State University, competes October 24 at Stillwater, while Karen Enis of McLish competes October 26 at Oklahoma City. Four state winners will be chosen.

Stonewall Round-Up Club Hosts October Village Gatherings
The Stonewall Round-Up Club announced October events including a State Fair outing in Oklahoma City on October 3 where tickets prevented a rodeo visit. New member Jim Christian, son of Roy and Mrs. Christian, was home on a 20 day Vietnam leave for the trip. A meeting October 9 at the Henley home planned a Halloween hay ride with a weiner roast. Another meeting October 23 at the Grueber home finalized hayride and roast plans. The club thanked member parents for their support of the meetings.
