Ada man killed in crash when auto meets truck on Highway 4
Shirley Greenbure 27, accretant manager of the S and Q clothing store in Ada, died after his car collided with a large truck near Seminole while on the way to a Shawnee football game between East Central and Oklahoma Baptist. Chas Bainbridge and Speck Young survived with injuries. Greenbure had attended East Central College and worked for the S and Q firm for about 10 years. He leaves a widow, his mother, a brother in Galveston, and an uncle in Fort Worth. Body sent to Waco for interment.

Sam Rice Charged with Murder in Francis Shooting
Charges of murder filed against Sam Rice after Buster Harris of Francis died Sunday afternoon near the Canadian River low water bridge. A shotgun wound at about 21 feet caused Harris’s death.
