Budgets for 1935-36 approved by the Pontotoc county excise board were taken to the state tax commission in Oklahoma City by deputy county clerk Willard Anderson. Rooseveltsons survive car crash near East Boston airport
James and John Roosevelt, sons of the president, were in a car that collided with a train in East Boston. John, driving, swerved to avoid the train and the car was wedged against a post. Both were taken to Peter Brent Gingham hospital with no injuries reported. William Norton, the train operator, stopped the train.
