Governor Marland ordered Harry Spann of Ada transferred from Leavenworth Kansas to the Oklahoma penitentiary to complete a two year sentence for larceny of domestic animals. Spann, convicted in Pontotoc county, began the term May 15 1921 and was paroled June 14 1921 before parole was revoked April 16 1934 after a federal conviction was noted.

Tollifson Gets Life For Double Slaying In El Dorado
Pi-Iver Tollifson 39% was convicted in circuit court of double murder of his wife and another woman and sentenced to life imprisonment. He also pleaded guilty to assault with intent to kill his son Iver Jr and received ten years. He opened fire in a rooming house in June injuring the boy. Four tons is the average weight of an elephant.

N H Deering a longtime Ada grocer died Wednesday night at 9 30 after a steer kicked him Monday afternoon. Funeral set for 3 PM at First Baptist with Rev C C Morris officiating. He came to Ada in 1903 and again in 1912 after stints in Denison and Texas. He 72, survived by widow seven daughters and three sons.

Bluebird Bar Locked After Raid Near Stonewall
A temporary restraining order barred the Bluebird Bar of Fittstown from operating until a permanent injunction hearing on October 7. Officers confiscated blackjack poker and dice tables and found two pints of whiskey and tax receipts in the names of S. E. Patton and O. R. McDaniels. The raid also noted a 3.2 beer bar front and a back room gambling setup similar to a prior case near Stonewall.

State highway commission let a contract for a stronger bridge across the Canadian River north of Ada between Pontotoc and Seminole counties.
