Elk Poacher Turns Out To Be Cattle Thief
Oklahoma game rangers in Delaware County traced a lead on elk poaching to a cattle rustling case. The dead animal proved to be a black Angus steer stored in Tulsa cold storage. the rustler was arrested and no elk were killed. Townsend praised cooperating health officials and urged careful hunting of transplanted elk by eastern Oklahoma deer hunters this fall.
