The Allied report says German offensives push toward Moscow from the west and south as the Russians mount a delaying defense. More than 500 Nazi tanks reportedly destroyed or disabled by Red infantry, yet the German push continues toward the capital.
Mrs. William A. Hastings of Madison Wisconsin led the opening session of the Oklahoma Congress of Parents and Teachers at Ada Junior High School praising the home as a fundamental human need. She delivered greetings from 2 400 000 national PTA members and urged renewed faith in the home to strengthen children physical and mental health and curb delinquency. Hastings contrasted German youth faith with American neglect saying the home must provide vital faith to the next generation.

A. H. Williams was convicted of selling inferior underweight cotton to the state penitentiary and given seven years. Clarence R. Jackson testified that Williams arranged the sale with the state board of affairs via former state Senator De Roy Burns. Bank cashier T. C. Huckaby testified Williams deposited 750 dollars to Burns's credit when warrants were cashed.
Two 17 year old Ohio youths Harold Yoder and Emerson Lewis Beer of DeGraff were arraigned on a Dyer act charge. They pleaded guilty to transporting a stolen car across state lines from Monette Missouri and were held in the county jail after arrest by highway patrolmen Hallorthington and Ormus Soucek south of Sulphur.
Oklahoma City reports the Office of Production Management moved to accelerate priorities in Oklahoma as the state defense committee prepares to meet to discuss complaints from businessmen about shortages of vital materials. Fred Jones, state OPM coordinator, said an official of the priorities division will visit early next week to establish an office as part of decentralizing the priorities system. Jones said he was invited to appear before the state committee, summoned by Chairman N. G. Henthorne of Tulsa, to address the priorities problem and review chairmen’s reports.
