Oklahoma’s three-way governor race dominates primary focus
Oklahoma City AP reports the three-way contest among Gov. Dewey Bartlett Republican Democrat David Hall and American Party candidate Reuel Little draws outsized attention as campaigns head into the final month. Little’s strong advertising could tilt results, potentially narrowing Bartlett Hall, while several other state races show close contention with GOP efforts to win secondary offices.

Old Sod House Recalls Days Of Oklahoma Past
CLEO SPRINGS AP Visitors to Oklahoma hear about the land rush of 1893 but struggle to picture it. Near Cleo Springs a two room sod house built in 1894 by Marshall McCully remains, possibly the last of its kind. McCully and his wife lived there until 1939 before a frame house was built and later destroyed by fire. The sod original, preserved by the Oklahoma Historical Society since 1953, remains as a landmark of pioneer housing.
