Former Countian Killed in Plane Crash Near Scullin
A 45 year old native of Roff and Fort Worth oil businessman, Lowell Hudson, died when his light plane engine trouble or fog led to an emergency landing one mile north of Scullin. His wife Marjorie Hudson and her mother waited at Ada airport. Hudson previously administered Fort Worth hospitals and served as a Methodist preacher and World War II chaplain. Survivors include his wife, son Douglas, daughter Mrs. Joe Wise, three brothers and four sisters.

Stolen Cows Traced Across States In Ada Case
Ada lawmen closed in on five registered Angus cows stolen July 12 from Nolen Dyer. Sheriff Oren Phillips questioned a suspect in Erie Kansas who admitted taking the cattle later sold in Leon Iowa. Phillips and Marvin Turner led the probe with the Texas and Western Cattle Raisers Association. Turner also helped recover three yearling calves stolen from Chickasha last May.
