Highways Crash Toll Shapes Ada Area Traffic Warnings

A NEWS reporter learns from Oklahoma officials how SH 13 19 and Arlington Blvd near Ada produce deadly crashes. Five year records show 255 accidents on SH 13 and 19 with 54 injuries and 8 deaths tied to the two deadly miles near the Big Sandy Bridge and Ada city limits.

Oak Table Returned After 53 Years Loaned in 1912

Florence Beashers of Wetumka returned the oak table loaned by William Taber to his grandson Lloyd Whitehead of 423 South Townsend. Whitehead said the table is at least a century old and well preserved despite tarps and coverings. The loan began when Beashers were moving and their table was damaged in a wagon accident.

Santa Fe Buys OCA&A In Last Of Complex Deal

The Santa Fe Railway agrees to acquire the Oklahoma City Ada Atoka Railway from Texas and Pacific as the final piece in a five railroads deal. Texas and Pacific, part of Missouri Pacific, buys the Muskogee Company System for 9.5 million. OCA A serves Midwest City and Tinker Field. ICC approved the transfers on June 29.
