County Health Nurse to Hold Clinic at Roff
County health nurse Mrs. Paralee Hisle announces a health conference and clinic at the Roff clubhouse on December 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The event, sponsored by the home demonstration club and other agencies, offers immunizations dental checks vision tests and more. The clinic is open to children and adults and aims to direct cases to available help. Dies of Stroke Ends Long County Career in Ada
Aubrey J. Crain a long time county resident died in an Ada hospital Friday morning after a prolonged illness. Funeral services were held Monday at First Methodist Church with burial in Rosedale cemetery. He was born in Paris Texas and moved to Roff in 1902 at age 17. He worked for an uncle Tom Suddath, then in a Roff bank for 13 years, ran a grocery there for 13 years, later moved to Ada and ran a grocery until a stroke forced retirement. He married Alice Sharrock in Jesse in 1912. Surviving are his wife a daughter Rebecca Sue Harmon Denver Colo a son Seth Montclair N J Max Levittown Pa Wendell Washington DC eight grandchildren and sisters Mrs Ed Russell and Miss Winnie Crain Amarillo Texas.
