James Knox Gibson 90 father of two prominent Oklahoma lawyers died at his Stanton Tennessee home. His son T L Gibson is a state supreme court justice and Nathan A Gibson a Tulsa attorney. Surviving are two daughters in Stanton. He was a Confederate veteran.

The Continental No. 1 McCarthy discovery well in section 12-1-7 produced 2 774 barrels of oil and 6 200 000 feet of gas during a five hour 28 minute test in the McLish formation at 4 633 feet. The well, three miles south of Fitts pool production, was deepened 12 feet to boost flow about six times the first test and signals a new productive area.
Oklahoma City November 20. Proponents of a repeal measure challenge a constitutional amendment proposal noting it repeals a minor section only and not the main prohibition clause.
